Janet L. Mitchell loves reading books with children—and reading children's books by herself too. She is a big kid at heart, and loves playing games.

A lifelong resident of Maryland, Mitchell earned a degree in elementary and special education. She taught in the public school system for a time before switching to a career as a computer systems analyst.
