Michael John Lazzari was born in Bologna, Italy on 4 October 1970. Having english relatives, he soon inherited a keen interest for the motor races. His idols are first Clay Regazzoni and then Nigel Mansell, two racing drivers able to drive with their hearts and not with mere calculation. He has a degree in Political Science, professional journalist, he has worked for ten years in the sports editorial office of the daily newspaper Il Domani/L'Informazione. In 2010/11 he worked for the Gazzetta dello Sport, the most famous sports newspaper in Italy. He was the press agent for the Emilia Romagna Tennis Federation and also writes for Tennis Italiano magazine. He conducts a radio programme on Radio International Bologna about the Formula One and another about English football. In 2012 he published “ATS, la scuderia bolognese che sfidò Ferrari”, now translated into English, in Italy it has reached the second edition. In 2013 he published two books, one dedicated to the Formula One “Eroi al volante, trenta storie di piloti oltre la leggenda” (published by Castelvecchi). The second “Teodoro Zeccoli: Cuore Alfa” (published by Maglio), it was reached the second edition. He is now working on another book about the motor races in the 60s. It will be published by the end of September, in Italian and English.
