Synopsis

Church problems develop because most people and churches run on presumption, rather than following the strong, cutting, and specific scriptures that tell us how people and the organization of the church is to operate.Frustrated with the ineffective operation of churches Rev. Shea found there were no such studies as to what the Bible says about church structure and how people should function within the body, so after years of Biblical study this book has come about which he uses as a membership requirement. For those who respect the authority of the scriptures they will find this study surprisingly clear and strong. It is pastor Shea's hope that as we follow the biblical commands and patterns our churches will become more effective and immune to the common maladies affecting our churches.

À propos de l'auteur

Reverend Wallace Shea's calling is as a developmental pastor, one who helps churches to not just exist but look at the overall pattern of a church and help it become more biblically effective. He has ministered in churches for thirty five years. He graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1971 with a B.A. in Psychology and obtained his Master of Divinity with a major in Biblical Interpretation from Central Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas in 1980. Reverend Shea was raised in churches and involved in many jobs and ministries before going to seminary. He has ministered in four churches in four states. Over the years he saw a disparity between how the bible described the Christian church life and how it was lived out. In 1987 he and his wife, Lana, stepped out to start a new church, Open Bible Fellowship, in Ankeny, Iowa where they minister now.
