Bunter was a delightful mixture of Cairn and Norfolk Terriers and he gave “Him” and “Her” many years of faithful, loving companionship. Because he could never quite get his head round names, he always referred to his humans as Him and Her (They, if he referred to them together). He had bags of personality and was very intelligent, sometimes hilarious, often manipulative and occasionally obedient. This little book contains instructions from Bunter to other dogs embarking on life with humans on how to get their own way and ensure that they become a very important part of the family. He includes some incidents and experiences from his long life to illustrate how he achieved his goals.

An archaeologist by training (and inclination!), I spent many years abroad with my ex-husband and worked in the State Planning Organisation in Ankara, Turkey; moved to Ohio, USA where I taught evening classes in the winters and returned to Turkey to excavate with the British Institute of Archaeology in the summers; moved to Shiraz, Iran, where I taught archaeology and ancient Middle Eastern history in the university; moved back to the UK, where I became Museums Curator of a museums service (nine museums in all) in North East Scotland. I now live in Richmond, Surrey. I have written stories and poetry off and on all my life and I use the pen name of 'Pippin Mole'.
