In this book, the author details his personal insights into the inner workings of suffering with the onset of Schizophrenia: He describes his thoughts and fears with an uncanny outside perspective as he deals with many changes and challenges in his life circumstances. As his health improves David talks about University and graduating with a psychology degree and moving out on his own after living with his Dad for 10 years. Then David has two hospital admissions because his newer anti-psychotic medications were not working for him. He finally recovers and works full time as a customer service representative for the summer, a job that he cannot handle, but tries to put his best foot forward. David then talks about his different medications and how they affected him to the spiritual insight and wisdom of Eckhart Tolle. Where he summarizes this false prophet's teachings, as David interprets how the ego is involved in Schizophrenia. À propos de l'auteur

David LaChapelle overcame mental illness to earn a BA in psychology from Trent University. After growing up in Toronto and earning two diplomas in computer engineering from Seneca College, he left his dysfunctional family environment behind and attended Carleton University in Ottawa. It was during this time that he developed schizophrenia, an experience he has written about in memoirs David's Adventure with Schizophrenia: My Road to Recovery, and David's Journey with Schizophrenia: Insight into Recovery. A born-again Christian, David currently resides in Peterborough, Ontario.
