À propos de l'auteur

Cindy Fuchser was 10 years old when she watched a 60 Minutes segment about reversing cardiovascular disease with diet and lifestyle modifications. Many years later, working as a critical care nurse caring for cardiovascular-diseased patients and those with numerous other preventable conditions, it became apparent to Cindy that western-trained physicians were not informing patients about behaviors and foods detrimental to health. What she learned was that today’s healthcare system perpetuates disease by ignoring safe and inexpensive health-saving strategies while recommending dangerous procedures and prescribing ineffective drugs wrought with adverse side effects. Cindy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from San Diego State University and has been certified as a Critical Care RN for more than 20 consecutive years by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Her disappointment in our healthcare delivery system led her to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where she obtained her Certification as a Health and Wellness Coach. Cindy was first published in the Journal of Gluten Sensitivity after passionately writing, “The Gluten Free Diet Is Not Just Another Fad Diet,” a response to inaccurate health information delivered by a registered dietitian at the hospital where she worked. Because Cindy knows how devastating and costly “chronic” illness is and how easy it can be to avoid if you make an effort, she has written this book to encourage and help everyone to make health a priority.
