Ms. Sequeira is a four-time award winning author, a Motivational Speaker, and an Awareness Coach on Alcohol and Drug Abuse after losing her husband and daughter to their alcohol addiction. She is the producer, director and co-host to the NBTV-95 Cable TV Station out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her memoir A Spiritual Renewal: A Journey to Medjugorje (March 2012). Her two books on alcohol abuse in her family were: Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round; An Alcoholic Family in Crisis, and the sequel Please, God, Not Two; This Killer Called Alcoholism (2010). She lost her husband and daughter to their own addiction. On September 25, 2013, Ms. Sequeira had published her first Narrative Non-Fiction book What is and isn’t Working for the Alcoholics and Addicts; In Their Own Words, which she considers to be the conclusion to her other two books on addiction. This is a book of testimonies from thirty-four recovering addicts from all walks of life from the United States and Canada with their testimonies on what hasn’t and isn’t working in their recovery programs. They are reaching outo doctors, counselors, family members and society on different ways to help the substance abuser. Her next book will be her first fictional The Rusty Years. She wants readers to know there is a lighter side to her. Alberta is a co-founder to Authors Without Borders (www.awb6.com) and a director, producer and co-host to the NBTV-95 Cable Show out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She co-authored with the group and published their first book Loose Ends; A Hodgepodge of Short Stories. Alberta is a Continuing Educational Instructor with three hour workshops on “How to Self-Publish Your Own Book With Create Space” and “Bring Your Manuscript to Publication.” She is available for speaking engagements on “The Effect of Alcohol Abuse on the Whole Family” or “A Spiritual Change Within.”
