Emma Apple is a number one best selling Islamic children's author-illustrator from New Zealand. She worked as a professional web and print designer for several years before deciding to pursue her aspirations as a children’s author-illustrator full time. Emma was first published in 2003 in the anthology Bonafide with a short story about being a teenager in New Zealand. She made her debut as a children's illustrator in 2012 with Hind's Hands: A Story About Autism by Umm Juwayriyah. Emma converted to Islam as a teenager and currently lives in Chicago with her husband, daughter, son and Ash the parrot.
