After his service in the Air Corps in World War II, Carl Weller returned to Detroit, worked as a switchman on a railroad for several years, sold appliances for several more, got married and had three kids. He and his family bought and restored a derelict old mill with a soybean processing plant in back that Henry Ford had built, turning these historic structures into first an antique store, then an extremely successful catering business. Presently retired, Carl is enjoying the fruits of his labors in Saline.
