Born and raised in Trenton, Illinois, I am a small town girl who has always had aspirations of becoming a successful writer. I believe every writer has a book tucked somewhere inside of them. My dream to become a published author came true with the two-book series of Seams and Unraveled. Since then, I have written, Timing. I am a former journalist, a newspaper reporter, who became a stay-at-home mom when my two children were born. My second child, a son, was diagnosed with autism and that reality changed my life. Writing has been my outlet, my saving grace. Everyone has struggles in life, and I've chosen to learn and grow and become inspired by the hand I have been dealt. It is my sincerest hope for my readers to find their connection to the stories I write. Those who know me personally and those who have read my books, must realize by now that I believe challenges, hurt, and heartache can all be overcome. Eventually. It's just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. It's been fifteen years since I married the love of my life. My husband, Mike and I share two beautiful children, Bailey and Connor. Together, we enjoy being active outdoors for swimming, biking, and picnicking.
