I grew up, if I grew up, in a Southern California coastal town surfing, fishing, your basic beach bum. As I grew older I learned that there was such a thing as fly fishing. A friend happened to own a fly fishing shop and off I went. By education is in archaeology and resource geography. I refer to myself as a retired beach comber and that works as well as anything. One thing I have learned is that getting old is not for sissies.
