Synopsis

Johnny Shane has never had much use for friends or family. In fact he’s never had much use for other people at all. Raised by his grandmother in virtual seclusion, he’s a hardened ex-Marine.

He couldn't be more shocked when he learns he’s inherited a small fortune and sprawling estate in the small town of Ryan's Falls, Pennsylvania. He gets another surprise on the heels of his unexpected windfall: a then it happens, an unexpected health diagnosis. Afraid and alone, Johnny moves to Ryan's Falls to start what’s left of his post military life.

The town of Ryan's Falls isn't what he expected. For the first time in his life, Johnny starts making friends—and even finding romance. He discovers support in unexpected places and faces his crisis with new hope. He falls in love with the town and vows to help rebuild what was once a thriving community.

As Johnny Shane goes from closed-off, dejected patient to pillar of a resurging community, he’ll learn that sometimes it’s okay to lean on others—and let them lean on you in return.
