Synopsis

Would you place duty above friendship? How far should the state curb individual freedoms when threatened with domestic terrorism? These issues and more are faced by Gaston Durrand of the Sûreté in the sweltering summer of 1893. Paris is in the grip of a wave of anarchist bombings and street riots. Amid political uproar and upheaval in the corridors of power, Gaston must not only track down the anarchists, but choose between personal loyalty and duty when his best friend is arrested for sedition.
