For communications to take place at all levels of command throughout Europe, the Signal Service provided the knowledge and skill to set up necessary equipment for the services along with seeing that all messages got to their destination by any means. Each enlisted person played a part in the War. This man’s memories provide a glimpse into the daily life, hard work, and even good times that kept their spirits high. No one escaped the fears of war, but they did discover how to survive wherever they served.
