She has received multiple awards for excellence in poetry. Mary is gifted with the talent of telling a story with rhythm and rhyme. Midwest living, Christian values, and a love of family are present in her work. A common thread in her stories is a happiness connection. Mary's work is being transformed into children's picture books. These books are a tool to introduce the youngest readers to the world of literature. Here Fishy Fishy is one of the first books to be introduced by Through the Keyhole books. It is a lighthearted story about her first time fishing. She and Grandpa go fishing with her brand-new pole and have amazing results. Many adults will identify with this story.
