Synopsis

Little Red Meets the Three Little Pigs is a combination of the fairy tales Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs. It is a modern-day version of Little Red, and the characters are African Americans living in Luling, Louisiana, before Hurricane Katrina. Little Red is going to see her grandmother, Mawamaw Brown, in the nearby woods to show her how beautiful her sparkling red hoodie is. She is warned by her mother, Mrs. Red, to stay on the path and not talk to strangers because there's a Gray Wolf lurking in the woods. Mr. Blue's three pigs-Monty, Bobby, and Danny-have outgrown their tiny trailer, and they are on the path to building their own houses. Mr. Blue warned them of the Gray Wolf and to build their house sturdy and strong. Little Red and the three little pigs encounter the Gray Wolf on their journey. This story will leave the reader wondering what happens next.

Biographie de l'auteur

I was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky and I am the youngest of 8 children. After the closure of LaSalette Academy my Junior year of High School, I attended and graduated from Holmes High School in Covington, Kentucky. I moved to California and attended college to pursue a degree in Child Development and Journalism. I was a Day Care Director for various nonprofit Organizations for 15 years providing child care for children 0-12 years of age. My husband Jesse and I have three, children, Jesse Jr., Nikiera and Malcolm and we reside in Louisiana. They inspire me every day. I am a Library Technical Assistant. My role as a parent and as an educator, I'm inspired to write children stories. I hope that through my knowledge and wisdom, my books can entertain and educate the young reader.
