Synopsis

Who knew today could be the last.

An unknown object impacts in a remote Moroccan town. Nothing prepared us for what happened next.

As cities fall, continents shift and the human race struggles to exist, Vivienne Wright must fight her demons as well as the people charged with the survival of humankind. With no defence, and no way to detect where it may impact next, their only hope is to hide and wait out the mysterious object.

Will Vivienne’s belief in a mute young woman salvage what’s left of humanity?

Do we even deserve to survive?

“I am responsible for ending our world. Nothing can save us. When the end comes, believe in the afterlife for there will be nothing left here to believe in. It’s coming. We knew it would. We knew it couldn’t be stopped.”

À propos de l?auteur

William Soppitt is a non-award winning storyteller of contemporary fiction with an element of science fiction, plus the odd sideways glance, but mainly 'How the hell do I survive this?' sort of scenario. Living in not so sleepy Shrewsbury, England, with his wife and two children, he fills his spare time writing, reading and checking his book sales. He now works in the hospitality industry after having experienced a variety of jobs, including a stint in the armed forces. A keen reader of all genres, his own stories attempt to balance plot and character development with a fast pace. 'Unknown Object' a story of betrayal, lost hope and self-doubt in the midst of an earth changing event, was his first foray into self-publishing and so far his most successful. His most recent novel, 'Vermilion Cloud' was released in 2015 and tells the story of a man who regains the memories of his ancestors and the chilling reason why. If life is a learning experience then so far he is about a 'C-'. He is keen to learn and gain feedback. If you would like to learn more, have a chat or tell him not to give up his day job, then you can catch up with him on Goodreads.
