In our current fast-paced and technologically advancing society, many of us have all forgotten the bonds we once shared with wildlife, and the difficulties of surviving in the wilderness. As a wildlife biologist, Lisa A. Selner has been working in wildlife conservation since college. Through her work with federal and state agencies, tribal programs, and private entities throughout the United States, she has embarked on many ventures with a multitude of wildlife species. Some of her most memorable moments have been spent with bears, birds of prey, bison, coyotes, elk, mountain lions, and wild horses! As an explorer, her journeys to remote and rugged areas have provided experiences filled with culture, history, and outdoor adventure. As an outdoorswoman, her pursuits entailing hunting, fishing, furbearer trapping, and falconry have been most fascinating and rewarding. Lisa continues with her passions in the wildlife field and looks forward to future career goals, outdoor pursuits, and travels.
