Synopsis

Ted Alteman, a wealthy lawyer, is found dead in a San Francisco hotel room, sparking an investigation led by police captain Mercedes Herrera and her subordinate Dave Good. They discover Ted was murdered as part of a complex conspiracy. The mastermind could be either a Russian oligarch or an enigmatic woman known as the Queen. Michael Remler studied physics and medicine to build a 60 years’ career as a scientist, clinician, teacher, and administrator in clinical neurology and neuroscience. He was a professor of Neurology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the University of California, Davis. Today he lives in Berkeley, California with his wife and two of his six children. He also writes novels, plays and non-fiction.
