Poems and novels of James Lawless won numerous awards, including the Scintilla Welsh Open Poetry Competition, a WOW! Award, a Biscuit International Prize for its news, Cecil Day Lewis Award and a nomination for Hennessey Awards Copyright emerging category. Two of his stories have been selected for the awards in 2007 and Willesden Bridford in 2014. He is the author of five novels that were well received, a story book for children and a collection of poems Rus in Urbe and a study of modern poetry Light on dark forest: Poetry, another view of the world for which he received an artistic scholarship. His books have been translated into several languages.
Born in Dublin, he lives in Leixlip in County Kildare, Ireland.
