Synopsis

The widowed Chief of Police is unaware that his orphaned, seventeen year old ward Baylee, and her best friend CJ, hear him talking on his cell phone to a local drug dealer. His plan is to drug Baylee and force her into marriage in order to obtain half of her fifteen million dollar inheritance. Baylee runs away, planning to live on the street for two months until she reaches the age of eighteen when she can escape her guardian's control. No one, not even CJ or Baylee's boyfriend Mark, know where Baylee is living. While living on the street Baylee befriends Echo, another homeless girl, and the two become friends. They discover that life on the streets is filled with danger and uncertainty as they witness a drug bust gone bad. When Baylee finds herself at the mercy of two thugs who accost her on the street, she has to defend herself the best way she can. Will God manifest His presence in these girls' lives, even in the face of diversity; and will Baylee recognize God's divine plan for her, and be willing to follow where He leads, even if it comes at a high price?

W. Beebe Becker is a new author to the world of Christian writing. Her passion for Christian Romance fuels her desire to create inspiring books for teenagers and young adults. She lives with her husband of fifty years on a small farm in southeastern Montana where they raise cattle and grow hay. She loves animals of all kinds, her favorites being a Yorkie named Muffy, a Yellow Lab named Buddy, and a kitty named Tigger. She is an artist, a photographer, and a crafter. She has taught watercolor, knitting and card-making, and led several Bible studies, both online and in person. She has participated in New Writers at Zentao 7, and also PC Quill, both Internet writing critique groups with published author, Kimberly Comeau. She has two adult children, four adult grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, all of whom inspire her to live a life committed to Christ. She accepted Christ as her Savior in 1967.
