Synopsis

This volume continues the story of three children who have accidentally discovered a way of entering Earth-Two. Using the Mother Tongue, the language that God gave to Adam and Eve, they are able to command animals and even inanimate objects to obey them. In "The Witch" Susan is drawn toward the Wiccan religion as her family worries and prays for her. Next, the three children face a mysterious and dangerous animal,"The Wardell-Oon"--the creature without a name. In "The Winter" the death of their beloved friend, the Grandmother, means that the children can no longer be home-schooled. When they return to public school, their special abilities arouse the hatred of powerful enemies.

Dr. John K. LaShell is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Talbot Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. More importantly, he has been a pastor for forty-five years. Even more important than that, he has four grandchildren. He has been a story-teller all his life.
