Charles Treft is an elementary school principal with the Calvert County Public Schools in Maryland. Charles has been a teacher and vice principal at the elementary and high school levels. Charles's life has been centered around public service. He served his country in the USMC and his community as a deputy sheriff. Charles's motivation for writing this book was to increase his elementary students' academic achievement. Charles hopes every student Strives for Excellence so they can get really smart and achieve their goals in life.
