Past-President of several Genealogical Societies, and the Camp Commander for Camp #22 of the Sons of the Civil War (SUVCW) in Marshall, Michigan. Wrote articles published in several periodicals, "The Guide to the First Fifty Years of the DSGR Magazine", and an index to "The List of Pensioners" on CD-ROM published by Heritage Quest. Member of Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogical Speakers Guild and the SUVCW.
