This is the second teen fiction Simona Ciarlo has published. Behind the Velvet Rope is a story about a teenage guy who doesn't feel close to his family, covets his friend's life, and obsesses over a celebrity; until the summer everything changed. She wanted to write a story about boys, since she wrote about two girls with Two Doves in a Fishbowl - REVISED. Simona Ciarlo began writing to live vicariously through her work. She is also an actress, an avid animal lover, and very family-oriented.
