James J. Semradek III has been a pastor for twenty-five years, serving churches with as many as twenty-five thousand members. He has a master’s degree in biblical studies and a second master’s in counseling, and Semradek is currently pursuing a doctorate in ministry.

In his free time, Semradek enjoys adventure. He once rode his bicycle from San Francisco to New Hampshire; another time, he rode from Chicago to Florida. From skydiving to scuba diving and even motorcycling, Semradek loves speed and thrills.

Semradek is married with four children. He currently serves as an ordained senior pastor at Waterfront Community Church, which has been featured in national news outlets such as NBC Nightly News, USA TODAY, Christianity Today, and the Chicago Tribune.
