"Harrison" is the second book in the series, "Mersey Tales" and is all about Horatio Harrison, a little hedgehog who lives near the flood plain. Harrison has ten adventures, escaping a flood, avoiding being churned up by a strimmer, nearly being cooked by an old lady, falling in love and having a short stay in the Hedgehog Hospital. He comes through all these adventures unscathed, more or less, and a stronger, wiser hedgehog. The book is aimed, like "Bella" at younger readers or people learning English. The illustrations are all original works of art by Alan Brown.

Nigel Hillary is a retired teacher and this is his third children's book, having already published "Jamie and the Clouds" and "Bella" this year. His other books, for adults, can be found on Amazon. They are two collections of literary short stories, "Tales From the Well I and II" and a biography of his father, "From Biplane to Boeing" detailing a life in aviation from the 1930s onwards, including World War II in Bomber Command. The children's books will also be available shortly in an audio version to complement this publication. Alan Brown, the illustrator, is a talented artist and draughtsman and this is his first venture into the world of fiction. Nigel spends his time cycling around the rivers and canals (not in them of course) of the North West of England and "Mersey Tales" is a direct result of his encounters with wildlife.
