Darryl 'Whitey' Johnson is a high school basketball star with dreams of playing in the NBA and moving his family out of the ghetto. However, his reality is bad luck and a shaky relationship with his father, Darryl Sr., whom he wants nothing more than to impress. I.R. Anderson was raised in Compton, California. He began writing books as a pass time while serving his prison sentence. It became a passion. He believes his work is a way of helping people through some of their life struggles, and connecting Urban America with a larger audience. His first book 'Flocken' was released in 2014 and he plans to release several more in the future.
