Synopsis

Born in battle, Clayton Carey was the only son of a hero from The Alamo, who was smuggled out as a baby from under the nose of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, by a dozen uncles on Clayton's Mexican heritage side. Clayton was raised in the 'old southern' tradition and became a fine young gentlemen along side his closest and oddest of friends, John Ivory (a Maori Prince). Clayton and John were closer than brothers and they stood next to each other in both good and bad times. The Civil War strengthen their relationship, along with putting a price on both their heads. Their bond carried them into their post war activities at the Dickerson Detective Agency in Chicago. On their first adventure, Clayton who was now a Colonel and John, who was now a Captain, headed back for the first time to clean up a mess that the war has left behind. Renegades who claimed to be soldiers once, now terrorized east Texas until the two men from Dickerson's Agency arrived to even up the odds. A story of the Wild West just the way it was!
