The author includes the manuscript “A Heart that Cries” to show that one does not simply arrive at peace, love, and joy; it’s a course of connection. The last chapter, “The Dedication to Divine Direction,” reveals the author’s spiritual connection with his Lord and Savior. In this chapter, selections include divine works that praise God for His grace and mercy. The author’s journey of creation, enhancement and inspiration is all part of God’s plan. Through all four chapters the action of Love is forever present. The author expresses this overall theme through old and new relationships with individuals as well as God. He shows that devotion is truly love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause. More importantly the author shows that devotion is prayers, religious worship or observance. This book perfectly describes discovering, which is “to find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search."

Marcus Yates Ford was born in Houston, Texas, and this Missouri City native graduated from the University of Houston. He is currently involved in a collection of ventures and projects, which includes jewelry design featuring charms, pendants, and wedding rings. Marcus creates and executes interior design/enhancement projects; his most notable work being “The Living Room Houston”. He is a certified teacher who teaches Entrepreneurship and Career Preparation at a local High School. Marcus currently sits on the board of "A Billion Smiles," which is a foundation that is built on the premise of paying it forward. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family and the church. He also enjoys a variety of hobbies which include cooking, cultural learning, listening to music, playing basketball, reading and traveling. His previous published works are "The Mind, The Pen, The Paper; Reflections of the Soul", "Love, Grace and Imani" and "Freedom of the Mind: The Open Mic"; all of which can be found under the pen name Majestic Forte.
