This booklet is the result of my concern for social needs. A trip through the Minor Prophets should convince the reader that the work of these prophets is a true gold mine for revealed religion. For example, Amos gives strong teaching concerning social justice: "(T)hey hand over the just for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals". (Amos 2: 6) And Hosea is the first person to point out that the relationship between husband and wife can be applied to the relationship of God and his people. The Minor Prophets are an important part of Scripture's revealed teaching!

Father Ralph Kuehner was ordained a priest in 1950. He has graduate degrees in Theology and Sacred Scripture. In 1970 he was co-founder of SOME (So Others Might Eat), a program to help the homeless in the District of Columbia. In 1979 he founded Victory Housing, which became an Archdiocesan housing corporation, providing affordable housing and related social services for low- and moderate income individuals and families. He was also a co-founder in 1979 of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, which now has eleven faith communities as members. He is co-founder in 2004 of Rosaria Communities, an Archdiocesan housing corporation, providing housing for persons with special needs. Father served twice as director of the Archdiocesan Office of Social Development (1970 - 1978 and 1996 -2002). He is currently involved in Church and community organizations to help the poor and is an active priest of Saint Francis of Assisi in Derwood, Maryland. Father's autobiography, "Why a Servant Church," and his book of meditations, "Words of Jesus from the Cross," are available on Amazon.
