Academic Life Coaching founder, John Andrew Williams, has been a life coach for teenagers since 2004, wrote five books, have been a writer for Newsweek, and has logged over 2700 life coaching hours working one-to-one with teenagers. John started his career as a high school Latin teacher and quickly realized that the gap between what schools are teaching and what is useful in life is unfortunately growing. He spent two years developing the Academic Life Coaching Program with the help and feedback of his students, and he is currently working with several schools to train educators and administrators in core Life Coaching skills. He sees his work as establishing a new field of education centered on helping students develop leadership skills and cultivate character strengths. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two daughters and is an avid mountain biker.
