Christopher White is an Entrepreneur, Author, Inspirational Speaker, Youth Mentor, and a married father of two, whose work has been recognized by a number esteemed organizations. A graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College, with degrees in Psychology, Criminal Law, & Sociology. White has served as a Psychiatric Specialist for the state of Iowa, as well as counseling adolescents, juveniles, & adults. Relocating back to Texas, Christopher has been able to spread his entrepreneurial wings by creating the first of it’s kind, a school for individuals with handicaps, disabilities & those re-entering society from incarceration, "The S.C.I.L Academy". Being an advocate for 2nd & 3rd chances, led to the formation of "The S.C.I.L Program” a special needs staffing agency, with a focus on job placement, job coaching, & vocational adjustment training. While exploring his creative side, he has built a reputation along the way as an accomplished music producer, recording artist, audio engineer, disc jockey, and documentary film maker. Not one to limit himself, Christopher has found many outlets for his creativity. More recently it has taken the form of his non-profit foundation, H.A.C.A.P or Houston Area Community Action Program. An organization that works primarily with disadvantaged & at-risk youth, teaching them extra curricular educational programs, while providing mentoring. This has led to working hand in hand with the White House, and (President Barak Obama) and his "My Brothers Keeper,” initiative. White's aim in, "It’s All About Perspective," is to give back by motivating others to claim ownership of their journey and achieve their full potential - starting right now and taking advantage of the resources that are readily available while aspiring towards loftier goals and ambitions. The book provides a much-needed foundation of encouragement for navigating through this turbulent period with positive affirmations, tenacity, drive, and common sense. White offers practical advice for dealing with life's problems and seizing every opportunity that presents itself, all with his trademark "tell it like it is" attitude. He advises that without this passion & purpose, they are destined for mediocrity.
