Julia Mitchell is a singer, writer, and illustrator. For many years, Julia owned a highly successful wholesale and retail art business. She has now surrendered her talents to God’s service as a Christian artist and writer. Julia has a strong passion for two things: God and the arts. Thus it is natural for her to communicate about God through her creative gifts. For much of her life, Julia was afraid to share her creativity with others. She also kept her love for God private. This was crippling to the outward release of her artistic expression, but even more it kept her from sharing with others the gift of God’s love. It was not until she surrendered her life to Jesus and truly experienced the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, that she was set free from that fear and is now able to share the loving relationship with God that has meant so much to her and can be enjoyed by so many others. As she was finding her way through to the freedom that God has given her, Julia wrote down the things she was learning, hoping they might help others to find release from their own chains of doubt and fear. She did illustrations to accompany these thoughts. It is with the release of this book that she hopes to share the deep love God has revealed He holds for all who would care to know Him, and the freedom that can be had when one chooses to walk hand-in-hand with God, believing it is His desire to set them free.
