A Great Storm rages within the psyche of humanity. It is a climate change inside our species. Colossal social and environmental challenges threaten us, blazoned fiercely in our media and in our lives. If we could step back and peer through a lens of greater order, we might see that humanity is actually transforming, moving doggedly toward a ‘clearing’—beyond the storm. ‘Clearing’ can mean ‘dissolving’, ‘cleansing’, freeing’, and ‘opening’. All around us today, we find freedom stirring, even amidst alarming gnorance and repression. Could there be unseen opportunities on the horizon for our species? Bruce Tuckman, in 1965, defined four phases of group development: “forming, storming, norming, and performing.” Might we apply this scale to the overall course of human evolvement? Might we use it to explore what lies ahead for us? In this book we are being asked to use intention and imagination to consider ‘performing’ the next stage in our evolutionary drama: Awakening!

Who is Robert Lee Potter? He is a man who lives an unassuming life in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Retired from a career with the U.S. Government—the National Park Service and a volunteer for the Peace Corps and VISTA—he has traveled widely in America and the world. His work has allowed him to meet diverse peoples, learning from their cultures and appreciating humanity in its many forms. He has advanced university degrees in design and environmental planning, and has worked in the fields of community development, environmental awareness, documentary writing and filmmaking. He has been a writer of science-fiction and non-fiction since an early age. He grew up in Seattle and has lived in San Francisco, New York City, Paris and Niger, West Africa. Over the span of his life, he has developed skills and insights useful in transcribing these messages. He holds a commitment to promoting a positive view of our collective human future. The information in these volumes comes through Robert, but it does not belong to him, nor is it original with him. He has been inspired from many sources, both internal and external, physical and non-physical. His mission is to ‘stream’ and record clearly and accurately what is presented to him by the muses and guides, and to pass it on to those who share his future vision of our species.
