FOUR WOMEN, ONE MAN. Two love him, one detests him, and the fourth, Joanna, has never met him, but will become mother to his child. Joanna Lee’s early years tell the tale of a young girl confused by the way that she is betrayed by the adults around her. Life at home is a cold and lonely place for Joanna, but not for her brothers. The home of an elderly neighbor, Mrs P, who is always there to listen and help Joanna overcome her troubles, is her only refuge, that is until one day when even Mrs P can’t make things better. When Joanna becomes a children’s nanny, she falls foul of her employer, the MP Royston Farleigh, causing her to escape his household and make a new life for herself, putting the past far behind her. Through her love of the arts, Joanna meets and falls in love with Marcus Tierney. Feeling safe and secure for the first time in her life, the couple marry, and Joanna hopes that this will be her fairytale ending. Unknown to Joanna, there are three women, Lizzie, Ava, and Imogen, whose parallel lives and deeds with threaten Joanna’s marriage. Finding herself caught between loyalty and integrity, Joanna battles to unravel secrets for the sake of her own happiness. Compelled to know the truth, will Joanna risk it all?

À propos de l'auteur

Sue was born in April 1950 in Wye, Kent. Narrowly missing April fool’s day. The youngest of four children, she left school at fifteen with no qualifications, and became a live-in children’s nanny. She married young, and has three sons. A slight case of slight dyslexia proved a challenge. However Sue did manage a University diploma in ‘Competitiveness and Entrepreneurism.’ Useful when owning two large employment businesses. Sue met many fantastic people on both sides of the recruitment desk over her thirty years in recruitment. She sold the agencies in 2005 and started writing, whilst in recovery from breast cancer. She enjoys reading and writing Family Saga novels. Sue has a secret claim to fame. She coined the phrase, a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips, in 1977 for a McVitie’s Chocolate Biscuit competition. Her prize - a supermarket dash, much to the embarrassment of her son’s, when a photo of ‘Supersonic Sue’ appeared in the local paper. Sue lives in Surrey with my husband David, who was best man at her first wedding (therein lies another tale). Lastly in her own words, ‘I sing loudly making up my own words as I go along, and still think I’m a disco diva much to my three sons’ embarrassment, and hate stag beetles with a passion, (even typing that made me cringe).
