Synopsis

This is a short commentary on Galatians 5:22-23. It is a study of what the Spirit of God wants to do in the life of every believer. The fruit of the Spirit is not the fruit of human effort or discipline. It is the fruit of God's Spirit--evidence of His presence in the life of the believer. Where the Spirit of God is given freedom to work, this will be evident in the character of His people. While there is much emphasis in our day on the work of God's Spirit to empower the believer in ministry, Galatians 5:22-23 represents a work that is far more foundational. I cannot be the husband or wife I need to be if I do not know this character building work of God's Spirit. I cannot be the Christian leader God intends me to be if I am not transformed by the fruit of the Spirit.

À propos de l'auteur

F. Wayne Mac Leod was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia and received his education at Ontario Bible College, University of Waterloo and Ontario Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the Christian ministry at Hespeler Baptist Church in Cambridge, Ontario in 1991. He and his wife Diane served with the Africa Evangelical Fellowship from 1985-1993 on the islands of Mauritius and Reunion where Wayne was involved in a ministry of church development and leadership training. Wayne is currently a member of Action International Ministries involved in a book writing and distribution ministry.
