Only after losing her, did I realize that I had to change to win her heart again. Let me go back to those days, sharing my memories when I came of age. Rob Tenery, MD is the third in three generations of physicians whose careers span the last one hundred years. Rob, an ophthalmologist, first began his writing career when he authored commentaries dealing with current events that were impacting the health care profession. In practice for over forty years, Rob broadened his interests by authoring several novels that chronicle not only the evolution of medicine over the last century, but also his own evolution from making rounds with his physician father beginning at age five to his long career in medicine. His forth novel Chasing the Ponytail, Rob goes back to his teenage years when, as an impetuous teenager he let is first love, the ponytail, get away because he did not have his priorities straight. With no direction to guide him into adulthood, he spent several years staying just ahead of trouble. Fortunately reality set in before it was too late. Reconnecting with her, they formed a bond that has now lasted over fifty years and counting. Married in 1964, they have two children and four grandchildren. Rob still practices medicine part time, letting him devote more time to his family, authoring his weekly blog site and is deep into writing his next novel.
