James grew up in a poor, minority inner-city neighborhood under the hard work and leadership of a blue collar father. He learned that (1) life is ultimately whatever you make it out to be and (2) that our past does not control our future. He learned to lean on faith and family to capitalize on life’s opportunities and has now become a C-Level strategist and serial-entrepreneur. He has over 15 years experience in executive management consulting with start-ups and Fortune 10 companies. He has also been a thought leader and public speaker on topics from mobile technology and business, to morals and values. James Smiley has been married for eleven years to his beautiful wife Lisa. They have four children – Zeke (7), Penny (2), Troy (1), and one on the way due in Feb 2016. The Smiley family live in Dallas, TX.
