What would it take for you to change your life? What would you do to have a different type of day tomorrow – perhaps a day filled with happiness and joy? What would you give up to follow your dreams? What would have to happen for you to live a daily life filled with happiness and joy? These were questions I often pondered as I went through my work days often rushing from meeting to meeting and usually complaining that I wasn’t having any fun…wondering when happiness and joy would settle into my life. Then it happened. I wasn’t particularly looking for it to happen on that September night but the transformation occurred in the most unexpected way. I got hit by a taxi. Or should I say I got hit and then run over by a taxi. As a matter of fact, the cab that hit me was thought to have been traveling at 35 mph. Studies show that people hit at this speed have a 50/50 chance of survival. Another way of looking at it was that I was hit hard enough to blow me out of my Donald J. Pliner shoes. One of the shoes was found on the east side of the street next to the curb and the other was found on the west side of the street on the sidewalk. Many might think that with this type of accident I was sure to be hurt, bruised, bleeding or at least sporting scrapes and scratches the next day. But none of that happened and had no bearing on the cause of the transformation that took place in my life….the change that had me focusing on living a life of happiness and joy. Instead I heard a voice…a voice that shared with me the most important lesson I would ever learn in my life. I Got Hit By A Taxi, But You Look Run Over is the story of a life transformed in the most unexpected and surprising way. By reading this book, you will look at life differently and perhaps find your way to a life filled with happiness and joy.
