It took a month in the hospital and 6 months of outpatient rehab for Tommy to regain mobility and relearn how to communicate. Fifteen years later, Tommy still can’t play the guitar or walk without a hip-swing, but he is nevertheless proof of the power of positive thinking. When you can’t talk for months, you listen, observe, and learn. In his first book since the stroke, Tommy reflects on how the incident changed his perspective and shares his insights into human behavior. These days, Tommy works in real estate, flipping old houses to reveal their full potential. He also moonlights as a financial advisor and motivational speaker, and enjoys more than anything spending time with his son, Reece. They live in Austin, Texas.
