When we speak of a personal God I believe we largely project our limited individual human personalities on the divine. Texts that suggest that God has made us in His image lead us to see God in our own limited image. God becomes a bigger version of ourselves, and therefore not necessarily a very attractive one. Ultimately we pray to be at one with what is. I hope that the prayers in this book will help you in your quest.

Tony Brady lives with his wife Fran, an environmental activist, in Dublin, Ireland. He has had a long time interest in spirituality and in particular in the Buddhist approach to life. He is the founder of, and regularly facilitates, a monthly Meetup group in Dublin dedicated to the practice of Buddhist Ethics. His contributions to the Insight Timer Meditation App have been listened to more than a quarter of a million times.
