Synopsis

A heartfelt collection of uplifting stories and pictures that depict pit bull breed dogs in a positive light. "Loyalty Unleashed II" continues where "Loyalty Unleashed" left off. See all new pictures and find out how some of the dogs are doing today. Meet an all new cast of pit bull heroes, devoted companions, best friends and family members who have overcome obstacles, changed perceptions and enriched lives. "Loyalty Unleashed II" will open your mind and your heart. It will take you beyond the myths and stereotypes. After reading this book you will come away with a new perspective and greater appreciation of what it means to be a pit bull and what it means to own one. As an impassioned rescue volunteer and animal advocate, the unplanned adoption of an abused, unwanted pit bull from death row inspired the author, Sue Torres, to become an advocate for these much maligned and misunderstood dogs and be a positive voice for pit bulls and the people who love them. A portion of proceeds from sales of this book will be donated to organizations that promote pit bull rescue, adoption, education and awareness.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Sue Torres is an animal advocate, rescue volunteer and proud owner of a previously abused pit bull who was slated to be destroyed for being tense and fearful in the shelter environment. Inspired by their resilience, devotion and ability to forgive, she now devotes herself to restoring the image of these once-esteemed and cherished family pets. She works tirelessly to promote the adoption of pit bulls in our nation's shelters and change perceptions about this extremely misunderstood and unjustly maligned breed. Torres lives in Connecticut with her rescued pit bull, Mickey. She is also the author of "Loyalty Unleashed: Pit Bulls and the People Who Love Them" and has written articles for various websites to promote the adoption of pit bulls and other shelter pets. "Loyalty Unleashed II" is her second book.
