Synopsis
A little girl’s world is turned upside-down when her mother tells her she’s getting remarried. Along with the ring comes a few more, Step One, Step Two, Step Three and Four. The little girl will do whatever it takes to keep them out of her perfect world. She eventually realizes there are some benefits to her new blended family. Step One, Step Two, Step Three and Four takes a less serious approach to a child’s life altering event, and looks at the positive aspects of having a growing family. Children ages 4 to 8 will be entertained for years with its fun text and lively illustrations.

Maria passionately writes everything from picture books to adult fiction. This picture book became a finalist in the National Association of Elementary School Principals Writing Contest (NAESP). Maria has published a handful of short stories in contests, literary magazines and an anthology.
