David has always been close to his father Tom. Now, about to become a parent himself, David looks to his hero and mentor for advice and support—only to discover that his dad is dying. Diagnosed with brain cancer, Tom has only a year to live.
Just weeks before the birth of his grandson, Tom passes away. David is devastated, but he soon discovers that Tom left him one final gift: a secret journal for his son containing twenty-five insightful, practical parenting tips.
His Final Gift introduces Tom’s twenty-five parenting lessons, timeless pieces of advice taken from the ultimate life instruction book: the Bible. Tom’s last gift to his son will last a lifetime as David raises his own son into a caring, responsible adult.
Written for Christian fathers, author Jamie Dewald’s advice is equally as valuable for mothers and non-Christian parents—and as applicable to daughters as it is to sons. Tom and David’s story is a laid-back, casual read. Expect to shed a few tears and to discover a series of parenting lessons that add value to your life—and your child’s.
