A fiery backyard explosion nearly ended my life. Suffering from second and third degree burns over 80% of my body, my life as a young husband and a new father with a budding career was quickly put on hold. With a slim chance of survival, the doctors didn't have much hope for me. The lead physician at Washington, DC's Providence Hospital was just two years older than I, and still at the threshold of his career. They called in the hospital's priest to administer the last rites. I pleaded with God to forgive me and give me one more chance to live. He answered my prayers! My ultimate survival depended upon two things - my will to live, and my willingness to welcome God's powerful intervention
