ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alastair Agutter's first specialist book was published in 1989 and writing on the South American Marine species the symphysodon that he managed to breed successfully in captivity after a great deal of heartache. In the book introduction over 25 years ago, he wrote about climate change concerns and with warnings.
From the age of just 6 years he took up gardening, taught by his Grand Father William Agutter and at 9 years of age as a young boy, he took up the hobby and past time of Tropical Fish Keeping, as an Aquarist and has successfully bred countless species of cichlids and other tropical fish for over 46 years. Still today he remains one of a select few in the world to breed Discus (symphysodon) in captivity and remains an authority on the subject as an accomplished author of Tropical Fish.
Today Alastair dedicates his life writing specialist books as a freelance author, after many years as a technology industry professional and partner to some of the world's industry leaders.
Alastair hopes if further insight can be gained, or solutions found from any of his works, his humble endeavours to contribute to society in a positive way, alas will be a reward in itself.
