Barbara Lynn Freedman, a.k.a. Skygrrl, is a Georgia transplant to the West Michigan area where she has lived for 30-plus years and considers herself a native "Michigander". Her love of aviation and the people and place where she calls home inspired the moniker Skygrrl; GRR being the airport identifier for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport where she commutes to and from with her job as a flight attendant. Barbara Lynn is the proud mom of Mollie, Mitchell and Mark. When she isn't flying the fabulous skies, she is an avid runner, tennis player, group fitness instructor, community volunteer, and of course, writer. "I have a special passion for my passengers, especially my first-time flyers", she says. "I want them to feel the excitement of flying and have fun, so that they'll want to fly again."
