A laymans critique of the popular modern interpretation of Genesis ch. One, called the Literary Framework Interpretation. This critique is written in easily understood terms and arguments that any reader can comprehend. Students attending conservative colleges are often intimidated and accept the lectures of professors who advocate the Framework interpretation on the basis of their authority alone, verbatim and never challenge them. The author points out there is nothing the framework advocates teach which can't be understood and challenged by the average layman.A person need not be a doctored academic or accept the literary frameworks unnatural presuppositions to understand Genesis. The argument that the interpretation is based solely on exegesis and not an attempt to accommodate secular scientific theories is exposed as disingenuous. Short and to the point, every seminary student should have this book.
