À propos de l'auteur

As a child, a coloring book and crayons were my greatest treasures. If I didn't have a coloring book I would color patterns on our paper napkins. That passion grew into creating my own fanciful and colorful images. After a career as an editor and workshop leader for American Baptist Churches I went on to attend Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA receiving a BFA in painting and printmaking. It is so important and satisfying to me to feel the energy that comes with holding a pencil or pen or brush and feeling the contact with the substrate on which I'm working. And applying color in whatever form to my work brings more pleasure visually and emotionally. It is my hope that you will catch a glimmer of visual excitement as you add your color patterns to the designs that I have created. One of my paintings appeared in Journeys to Abstraction by Sue St. John. And my paintings have hung in galleries in Southern Indiana and Ohio. A painting, Intangible Being, won an Award of Excellence in the Indiana Heritage Show in Nashville, Indiana in 2003.
